WOW Academy Becomes Webmaster Certification Neutral March 28, 2007 Finally, more certification options! You asked for it, and as promised, we are delivering. WOW Academy is proud to announce it is now offering training, assessment, and certification options for all three major Web Professional certifications. As Internet Technologies continue to expand exponentially, the need for various webmaster and web designer training, assessment, and certification solutions expand also. With these changes, it is clear that Webmaster and Web Designer certification unification is simply not practical. For this reason, WOW Academy is now certification neutral. Now, individual students, academic facilities, and professional organizations have a central location for acquiring Web professional training and assessment regardless of the certification track desired. Listed below are the three certification providers that we currently offer Webmaster and Web Designer training, assessment, and certification options for: WebYoda Certifications: The WebYoda certifications were the first nationally recognized Webmaster certifications available. In October 1997 WebYoda, in partnership with Florida State University, began developing the first national Webmaster Certification Standard. The first WebYoda certification was awarded March 09, 1998. To date WebYoda has awarded over 6343 certifications. CIW Certifications: The Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW) exam, also called the CIW Foundations exam, was first available soon after May 1999 via www.ciwcertified.com. Since that time, the CIW certification program has emerged as one of the top recognized industry-standard job role certifications for Internet technologies. The World Organization of Webmasters Certifications: The Certified Associate Webmaster (CAW) Exam, created by the World Organization of Webmasters, was first offered soon after October 20, 1998. World Organization of Webmasters exams are a series of vendor neutral industry standard certification exams. |
